YOUR SUMMER WARDROBE SORTED...
Summer has finally arrived…now it’s time to get your wardrobe looking right. Time to put away the polo necks and hoodies and swap them for something a little more cooler. Need some help on where to start? No worries, we’ve listed some of summers hottest trends, just for you! The best thing is that you don’t have to go to far, have a browse through our collection to invest in some of the trends…
Statement sleeves// - as seen at YSL and Gucci
The perfect touch for adding something a little extra to liven up your outfit. The statement sleeve adds a bold but also slightly feminine finish. Longer sleeves play up your proportions and the end result is very flattering making your waist look smaller and your legs longer. Go for sporty crop styles if you’re chilling in the daytime or alternatively an off the shoulder shirt style if you’re going somewhere fancy.
The return of the waist// - As seen at Fenty X Rihanna and Coach
After being so comfortable in our baggy jumpers and oversized tops, this season we are all having a rude awakening from the flattering, tighter fitting clothing of summer. Belts, ties and corset tops were seen frequently on the catwalk and all focus on emphasising the waist. The great thing about this trend is that you can show as much (or as little!) skin as you want.
Bralets// - As seen at Alexander Wang and Victoria Beckham
A definite wardrobe staple. The bralet will take you through the summer and is perfect with almost anything. For extra style points go for silk, strappy or mesh styles. If your feeling brave pair with high waisted trousers or midi skirts. If not, add a robe/ duster style jacket to cover up (FYI this is another major trend).
The sheer factor// - As seen at Dolce and Gabbana and Vera Wang
We love a bit of mesh here at studio LBW! Mesh is perfect for this season, not only is it breathable and lightweight but its also so stylish! Mesh is the perfect way to show a little skin without showing too much. For a look that will take you anywhere stick to minimal colours black and white.
Cold shoulder// - As seen at Rosie Assoulin and Simone Rocha
A cold shoulder detail adds a feminine touch to any outfit. This detail effectively highlights one of the most flattering parts of the body, drawing more attention to the area. Cold shoulders look great on everyone, so you have the choice to either wear a dress or top. For everyday casual looks go for lighter fabrics and pair with denim. For something a little more sultry go for a sophisticated LBD.
