Make Up Time //

Glitter // Call it an 80’s revival but were so glad glitter is having a comeback. Both fun and eye-catching, experimenting with glitter makeup will liven up any outfit. Depending on how bold you’re feeling, go for a glitter lip a la Fendi, or a subtle under eye shimmer. Glitter was also used around the rook of the ears! Those who love to make a statement can opt for a glitter liner to line the arch of their eyebrows (sounds crazy we know, but looks incredible). If going for a glittery makeup look, keep things minimal with slick black eyeliner or a clear shade of lip gloss.

Neon // If you’re a fan of minimal dressing or your wardrobe only consists of black, greys and whites, add a splash of colour with some neon makeup. The most common shade used across the catwalks was pink and orange. Go for a stripe on the crease of the eye for maximum impact or revive the smokey eyeshadow look with a candy pink shade. This really is the season to be bold and experimental.

Go Bare // Not a fan of all the fuss of makeup? Don’t have time to wash every trace of glitter of your face? Don’t worry this season natural makeup looks are in so there is no need to feel like you’re missing out! On the catwalk, makeup was minimal and only used to cover blemishes or to add depth to the eyebrows. To add extra glow, don’t be afraid to use a bit of highlighter and add to the high points of your face. If this is a bit to bare for you, add a natural blush or underline the eyes with a smudge of kohl pencil.

Dark lips // Most commonly seen in the fall, the vampy dark lip is making an early entrance to SS17. This season unique dark shades were seen all over the catwalk. Acne showcased a cyborg-esque matte grey lip with minimal makeup. If you’re not a fan, stick to classic burgundy or brown shades as seen at DKNY. Again, if going for a bold lip keep things simple to create a statement look.
